Project for internet and follow-up at a university library, local family history 
library or in Salt Lake:

Anyone, anywhere can search for a Revolutionary War Record or historical 
  information:
1.  Find local histories for Litchfield County in Connecticut and Berkshire 
    County, Massachusetts by arranging for an inter-library loan for a local 
    history.  New York Counties to search:  Erie, Wyoming, Livingston, Wyoming, 
    Genesee, Monroe and Ontario Counties.
  A.  To locate those histories, consult M. J. Kaminkow, US Local Histories in 
      the Library of Congress, Magna Carta, Baltimore, Md, 1975.  (Family

2.  Local histories and articles written about the locality, the people, and 
    historical movements are indexed in P.E.R.C.I., found in most large 
    libraries, at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City,  and online at 
    Ancestry.com.  Referenced books and periodicals are often found in 
    university libraries and at the Family History Library.
  A.  Look up by surname, name of town, county, or subject.
